While the event was well attended, a big smile and full belly generator and seemed to be abuzz with conversation and ideas, this Friday party needs your support if it is to continue. Specifically:

we need a steady supply of volunteers to staff each morning (2-3 per event)
we need an organizer for each day (someone willing to take the responsibility of “boss”)
we need a chafer pan to ease the breakfast preparation and serving

As I said (over and over again-I tend to repeat myself a lot in my daily life), I have been looking for something like this for a long time. Great people and great food for a great price. I could see this cafe serving as a “clearinghouse” (I think I’m using that term correctly) for the local food scene…we have awesome bloggers (ahem, the Michigan Lady Food Bloggers are my personal faves :)), the farmers market, more restaurants getting into local food, GREAT local beer, terrific farmers and food suppliers…but something has been missing and I think you’ve found it.
