Repasts, Present and Future was hatched by Jeff McCabe and Lisa Gottlieb when they decided to open their home and dedicate their energy to the support of local farm and garden initiatives.

The first fundraiser, in December of 2007, was a sit-down dinner provided by local chefs Eve Aronoff, John Summerville produce from Tantre Farm, and the generous support of friends and the community.  With a silent auction, terrific food and wine, and 26 enthusiastic food lovers in attendance, the event raised over $5,000 for the construction and renovation of the new Growing Hope Center.  Our latest projects include hoop house construction for local farmers to support year ’round growing in our area.

Repasts has grown into a community dedicated to expanding food awareness,  local food access, right-livelihood and the re-prioritization of land use.  We are currently supporting and planning edible schoolyard projects, a micro-credit system for start-up farms, farm incubation projects and other local food infrastructure needs.
